Bug Fixes
- fix: Merge the friendly attributes and document defaults into a grid that already carries raw
data-masonryJSON. The merged object was computed and then discarded whenever raw JSON was present, soitemSelectorand every other default was silently dropped for those grids. Keys written in the raw JSON are still never overwritten.
Documentation
- docs: Add a documentation website under
docs/, built on theatelierproject type and published to https://m.canouil.dev/quarto-masonry/. - docs: Trim
README.mdto a landing page pointing at the website, andexample.qmdto a short starting point to copy. - docs: Add the Pages workflow, which renders
docs/on pull requests and deploys it from the release tag. - docs: Add the Quarto Extensions Updates workflow, scanning
docsfor the website’s own dependencies.
0.4.0 (2026-05-31)
New Features
- feat: Add
masonry-wait-for-images-timeoutattribute and matching metadata key with an automatic layout fallback when imagesLoaded never fires.
Bug Fixes
- fix: Reset module-level state at the start of each Pandoc pass so batch renders do not leak metadata defaults, wait-for-images settings, or the imagesLoaded dependency flag between documents.
- fix: Escape control characters (newline, tab, carriage return, and the full C0 range) in
data-masonryJSON strings; previously a value containing a literal newline produced invalid JSON.
Enhancements
- enh: Warn via
quarto.log.warningwhen a numeric option (column-width,gutter,stagger) is negative, and whenwait-for-images-timeoutis non-numeric or negative.
Documentation
- docs: Document the
data-masonryJSON > friendly attribute > metadata default > built-in default precedence in the README. - docs: Add friendly
masonry-*attributes and the new timeout option to_schema.ymlfor IDE autocompletion. - docs: Extend
example.qmdto cover the precedence rules and the wait-for-images-timeout option.
